IB Coordinator

I am excited to enter my sixth year as Horizon Middle School's International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator. This year will surely come with challenges and opportunities for all of us. We are ready to meet the needs of our students in these changing times. The Learner Profiles of Open Mindedness and Caring will be my mantras this year. Let's get started.
In addition to my primary roles as the IB Coordinator and the school Media Specialist, I also teach Broadcasting courses for 7th and 8th grade students and Reading Intervention for 6th graders.
A little about me...This will be my 23rd year as a Horizon Panther. I started here as a Special Education Teacher in 1998! It seems like yesterday. I have been lucky enough to be a Reading Interventionist, Literacy Coach, and a Library Media Specialist.
Horizon Middle School IB World School
Horizon Middle School has been an IB World School since May 2010. It offers the IB Middle Years Programme. The school is state funded. The head of the school is Dustin Horras.
