I am so excited to be starting my 10th year here at Horizon Middle School. This year I am the school counselor for all 7th grade students.

Ms. Stephanie Troscher

Hello! My name is Stephanie Troscher, and I’m proud to be serving as your school counselor this year. I’ve been a school counselor for the past seven years, supporting students across multiple grade levels and helping them navigate both the academic and social-emotional sides of school life. I was born in Florida but have called Colorado home since I was nine years old. As a former student of Woodmen Hills Elementary, Falcon Middle School, and Falcon High School, I know firsthand how impactful this community can be. I also had the unique experience of playing soccer for both Sand Creek High School and Falcon High, which helped shape my love for teamwork, resilience, and growth.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two energetic boys who keep me on my toes. I love hiking, journaling, Halloween is my favorite holiday and—fun fact—I met my husband while we were both volunteering at a haunted house! I believe in creating a supportive, welcoming space for all students, and I’m passionate about helping each child find their confidence, voice, and sense of belonging.

Ms. Colleen Carmon

My name is Colleen Carmon and I am going into my ninth year as a school counselor.  When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my two children, who are both in elementary school in the Sand Creek Zone.  I grew up in Durango, CO though I have lived in Colorado Springs since I came here for college in my early 20s.  I enjoy crocheting, cooking and baking, gardening, and spending time with my family.
